With a versatile career spanning film, television, theatre
and voice, Vancouver based Sarah
Edmondson continues to cultivate and explore
a path into the creative unknown...
On television, Sarah will next be seen playing a Washington attorney in two
new Lifetime
Television movies: Killer Hair will
air June 21, 2009 at 8 p.m. EST and Hostile Makeover
airs June 28, 2009 at 8 p.m. EST. The role comes on the heels
of another Lifetime project,
My Name is Sarah, in which the BFA theatre
grad starred opposite Jennifer Beals (The L Word, Flashdance) playing
her embittered sister.
On the independent feature front, Sarah has recently garnered two Leo nominations.
The first
is for her comedic role in Awkward, a film about a dinner
conversation that takes an
unexpected twist. Awkward played at the
esteemed Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film
Festival and will also
be screened in Montreal at The Just For Laughs
International
Comedy Festival July 16-26, 2009.
Sarah's second Leo nod is for her portrayal of a
thwarted newlywed in another
festival fave Sparklelite Motel.
As well, Sarah’s abilities as a vocal chameleon can be heard in various
projects from national
radio spots to lead roles in animation series like
Transormers Cybertron and Class of the Titans.
In between gigs, Sarah is currently adapting her one woman theatre show Dead
Bird for the
big screen. Check out Sarah's blog for updates and follow
